Goodbye @Hebsacker – welcome the new OXID forum moderators @vanilla thunder and @leofonic

Yes, the rumours are true: @Hebsacker, AKA Raimund (Ray) Lang-Pantic, got a new job a while ago and it turned out that he’ll have no more time for us at the OXID forums. Bummer, isn’t it.

I’d like to take this chance to thank him for his great job he was doing for years: perfect moderation, understanding the community quite well, dealing with fighting cocks, determining spam (quite challenging sometimes), telling the “younger” guys the right channels to drop your bug reports and tutorials, and still having the big picture in mind. I think the most fitting attribute for a mate like him is “empathy”.

Thank you very much, Ray. Have a great and filled time with your new job and your family. Of course you’re still welcome to post to the forums, although you’re not a moderator any longer. And of course I hope to see you again at one of these events for a chin wag 😉

For this reason I was asking certain people to take on the job as a moderator on a volunteer basis. Two of them, @vanilla_thunder and @leofonic are now aboard, let’s welcome them!

Marat Bodoev AKA @vanilla_thunder@vanilla_thunder, AKA Marat Bodoev, has been assisting @Hebsacker for a while with forum moderation, now having the full responsibility and credits. Marat is 26 years old and lives in the “gorgeous” (like he says) city Bonn. The job title on his business card is “IT Consultant Online Services” but he always have to explain it as web developer. Marat is working with OXID for four and a half years now but is doing a bit of Typo3, WordPress, marketing and newsletter stuff as well. In his spare time he is crazy about tinkering with LEDs, transistors and other hardware, just a nerd ^^

Frank Zunderer @leofonicI know Frank Zunderer only a few months longer than Marat. His nickname is @leofonic, he’s in his forties (my age), father of two and lives in Gilching closed to Munich. Frank is freelancing as a sysadmin for companies, developing own web applications and has been working with OXID for five years. In his spare time he loves to bike and also, plays the guitar in a band.
